How to Set Up and Configure Server Time Settings on Your ECO Server

The in-game time system in ECO plays a crucial role in gameplay, affecting everything from crop growth to server events. This guide will walk you through how to configure and customize the server time settings on your ECO server using the VolticHost Game Panel.

Prerequisites

  • An ECO server purchased at VolticHost.com

  • Access to the VolticHost Game Panel

  • Basic understanding of server time and game mechanics (recommended)

Changing the Time of Day

  1. Log in to your VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click on your ECO server.

  3. Navigate to the Console tab in the panel.

  4. To manually set the time of day, use the following console command:

    /time set [hour] [minute]
    • Example: /time set 12 00 will set the time to 12:00 noon.

  5. Press Enter to execute the command.

✅ The time has been successfully set to the specified hour and minute!

Configuring the Day/Night Cycle Speed

  1. Log in to your VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click on your ECO server.

  3. Navigate to the File Manager tab.

  4. Open the TimeSettings.eco file located in the Configs folder.

  5. Locate the setting for DayCycleSpeed and adjust the value:

    "DayCycleSpeed": 1.0,

    • A value of 1.0 represents normal speed (real-time cycle).

    • Increase the value to speed up the day/night cycle (e.g., 2.0 for twice the speed).

    • Decrease the value to slow down the cycle (e.g., 0.5 for half speed).

  6. Click Save File to apply the changes.

Adjusting the Server Time Zone

  1. Log in to your VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click on your ECO server.

  3. Navigate to the File Manager tab.
