Enabling and Configuring Whitelisting for an ARK: Survival Evolved Server

Whitelisting allows only approved players to join your ARK: Survival Evolved server, making it ideal for private servers, tournaments, or communities that require restricted access.

This guide will walk you through enabling and managing the whitelist in VolticHost Game Panel.


πŸ“Œ Prerequisites


1️⃣ Enable Whitelisting in VolticHost Game Panel

  1. Log in to VolticHost Game Panel

  2. Click on your ARK: Survival Evolved server.

  3. Navigate to the Startup tab.

  4. Locate the Whitelist Only Players option and set it to True.

  5. Click Save Changes.

2️⃣ Find Player Steam64 IDs for Whitelisting

To add players to the whitelist, you need their Steam64 ID.

  1. Ask the player to provide their Steam Profile URL.

  2. Visit https://steamid.io/ and enter the Steam profile URL.

  3. Copy the Steam64 ID (a 17-digit number).

3️⃣ Add Players to the Whitelist

  1. Navigate to the File Manager in VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Open the following file for editing:

  3. Add each Steam64 ID on a new line.

    Example:

    76561198087654321
    
  4. Click Save File.

4️⃣ Restart the Server to Apply Changes

  1. Go to the Console tab in VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click Stop to shut down the server.

  3. Wait a few seconds, then click Start to restart the server.

5️⃣ Remove a Player from the Whitelist

  1. Open the AllowedCheaterSteamIDs.txt file.

  2. Remove the Steam64 ID of the player you want to unwhitelist.

  3. Click Save File and restart the server.
