Enable and Configure Automatic Backups for an ARK: Survival Evolved Server

Backups are crucial to prevent data loss due to server crashes, updates, or accidental changes. Enabling automatic backups for your ARK: Survival Evolved server in VolticHost Game Panel ensures your world, player progress, and settings remain safe.

This guide will walk you through enabling, configuring, and restoring backups in VolticHost Game Panel.

📌 Prerequisites

1️⃣ Enable Automatic Backups in VolticHost Game Panel

  1. Log in to VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click on your ARK: Survival Evolved server.

  3. Navigate to the Schedules tab.

  4. Click Create New Schedule.

  5. Fill in the following details:

    • Name: ARK Automatic Backup

    • Time Interval: Set a frequency (e.g., every 6 or 12 hours)

  6. Click Create Schedule.

✅ Your server now has an automatic backup schedule!

2️⃣ Configure the Backup Task

  1. Under the newly created ARK Automatic Backup schedule, click New Task.

  2. Set Task Action to Create Backup.

  3. (Optional) Enable Ignore Server Status to create backups even if the server is running.

  4. Click Create Task.

3️⃣ Manually Create a Backup

  1. Navigate to the Backups tab in VolticHost Game Panel.

4️⃣ Restore a Backup

  1. Navigate to the Backups tab in VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Locate the backup you want to restore.

  3. Click Restore and confirm the action.

  4. Restart the server from the Console tab.

5️⃣ Delete Old Backups to Free Space

  1. Go to the Backups tab in VolticHost Game Panel.

  2. Click on any old or unneeded backups.

  3. Click Delete to remove them and free up storage.

✅ Unnecessary backups are now removed to save disk space!
